ROUTINE VERIFICATION

• Checks whether Design Verifications are available where
appropriate.

DESIGN VERIFICATION – THREE METHODS
(Refer table D.1)
1. Verification by testing
The requirements of the standard are proved by testing.
2. Verification by comparison with a tested
most onerous design
Most requirements would fall under this category. This involves
verification by comparing the application design with tested
arrangements.
3. Verification by assessment
This method allows verification by the application of calculations and
design rules. Limits and strict conditions apply which include
appropriate safety margins.
