Provide busbar system within the assembly, extending from the termination of the incoming unit to the line side of protection
        equipment for outgoing circuits.
Divide the busbar system into separate ‘essential’ and ‘non-essential’ circuits if required as shown in the drawings, each
segregated from the other by fixed and continuous barriers. Clearly label each segregated section of the busbar system.

        Specifications:
        Made of solid rectangular-section high-conductivity hard-drawn copper.
Sized to carry the rated current and withstand specified fault levels.
Neutral busbars shall be fully rated, matching the phase conductors unless stated otherwise.

        Requirements:

        Comply with AS/NZS 61439.1 & 2.
Allow for future extensions to adjacent assemblies without on-site modifications.
Support and spacing shall align with verification test certificates.

        Jointing
Busbar joints shall be made with class 8.8 zinc plated hex bolts, nuts, Belleville and flat washers. Arrange and tighten the bolts to
the manufacturer’s specification based on tested data.

        Provision for CTs

Provide removable sections of the busbar for mounting revenue metering and all other CTs in accordance with the Local Supply
Authority Requirements for supply Authority Metering CTs except where incorporated in items of switchgear.

        Neutral and Earth bars

Provide neutral and earth bars drilled to provide one terminal for each circuit with spare space for future use. Mount in top or
bottom or both top and bottom to suit cable entry, and in all compartments where outgoing circuits are terminated. Ensure
neutral/ earth bars run beside active conduits.
Identification: Clearly mark and number neutral terminal connections.
Provide separate earth and neutral bars in each distribution zone.

        Wiring
Wirings in the assembly shall be done to comply with AS/NZS 3000: 2018 -Wiring Rules

        Connection

Connections shall be bolted, clamped or screwed and precautions taken to ensure that connections cannot loosen in service.
Fix wiring by saddling cable trays or enclosing in plastic conduits or wiring ducts with clip-on lids, installed vertically and
horizontally where required through cubicle. Neatly loom and saddle where not enclosed in conduit or duct.

        Colour Coding

Shal comply with AS/NZS 3000: 2018 -Wiring Rules
