CM-range - Monitoring of unearthed supply systems
The high reliability of a system is guaranteed by a continuous monitoring of the resistance
between the system and the earth potential. An insulation monitoring of the CM-IWx range
recognizes these so-called insulation faults and trips as soon as the measured value of the
resistance between the system and earth potential falls below the set threshold. By using an
insulation monitoring relay already the first insulation fault will be detected and can be fixed
before a second fault occurs and forces the system to switch off.
