HVI power Conductor
The HVI power Conductor is the most powerful variant of the high-volt-
age-resistant, insulated down conductors (HVI Conductors). Unlike the s s
standard HVI Conductor, it allows one to maintain an equivalent separa-
tion distance of 0.9 m in air and 1.8 m in solid material. It is particularly ≤ 90 cm
important to point out that the HVI power Conductor and the correspond- < 75 cm
ing components are tested for a lightning current carrying capability of
up to 200 kA (10/350 µs) based on EN 62561-1. Therefore, this type of
conductor may be used for all classes of LPS (I-V).

This conductor is installed, above all, on buildings such as hospitals,
computing centres or silos where large separation distances need to be
maintained due to the building dimensions (height). Moreover, the con-
ductor routing to the earth-termination system can be longer.
The conductor can be installed inside a stainless steel or aluminium
supporting tube. The internal sealing end spring element automatically
contacts the semi-conductive sheath and thus provides the sealing end.
HVI power Conductor The functional equipotential bonding is directly connected to the metal
supporting tube and the structure. When using GRP/Al supporting tubes,
another HVI power Conductor can be installed outside using a connection
kit.
HVI power Conductor (pre-assembled)
In case of the pre-assembled HVI power Conductors, inside as well as
outside installation, the head piece is already assembled and shrink
wrapped. The other conductor end can be exactly positioned to suit
the structure of system using the loosely delivered connection element.
Minimum order length is 6 m, additional conductor lengths in steps of
0.5 m (max. 35 m). Conductor length to be indicated when ordering.

HVI power long Conductor (on plywood reel / cut to length)
The HVI power long Conductor for on-site assembly is available in a
length of 100 m on a disposable plywood reel (diameter approx. 900 mm,
width approx. 485 mm) or cut to length (6-35 m or 36-80 m). The installer
determines the required lengths, cuts to length and assembles the sealing
ends on site.
