S 200 UDC series DC Applications
DC = Direct Current For DC incoming supply from above S 200 UDC-… MCBs
S 200 UDC MCBs can be used in the one-pole version as have, in the area of arc chutes, permanent magnets, it is
60 V DC (125 V DC up to 40 A), and in the 2-pole version with therefore necessary to take into account the polarity during
series connection of two poles up to 125 V DC (250 V DC up the installation process.
to 40 A). Doing so ensures that in the case of a short circuit the
magnetic field of the permanent magnets corresponds
S 200 UDC contains fitted permanent magnets, which with the electromagnetic field of the short-circuit current,
assists in the forced extinguishing of the arc. therefore safely leading the short circuit into the arc chute.
If voltages to earth exceeding 60 V DC may occur, 2-pole S Incorrect polarities may cause damage to the MCB. This is
200 UDC is to be used for one-pole disconnection. why – in the case of top-fed devices – terminal 1 must be
connected to (-) and terminal to 3 (+).
Example for permissible voltages between the conductors depending on the number of poles and circuit layout:
